Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam Opens Outdoor Pool for the Summer Season

This summer, Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam brings a resort-like escape to the city with the opening of its exclusive outdoor pool, offering a perfect urban getaway.

Recognized as one of Gangnam’s top staycation spots, Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam is the only luxury hotel in the area with an outdoor pool. The facility will operate for a limited time from June 23 to August 31, providing guests with a premium and exotic ambiance that feels like a private penthouse retreat.

To ensure a more pleasant and spacious experience, a reservation-only system will be in place, with the pool operating in multiple time slots:

  • June 23 (Mon) – July 17 (Thu): 2 sessions per day (10:00–14:00 / 15:00–18:00)

  • July 18 (Fri) – August 31 (Sun): 3 sessions per day (10:00–14:00 / 15:00–18:00 / 19:00–21:00)

Admission is KRW 66,000 for adults and KRW 33,000 for children (tax included). Hotel guests receive a 50% discount, and infants under 48 months are admitted free when accompanied by a guardian.

The indoor pool will also be open to children staying at the hotel from July 1 to the end of August, with access available via a separate entrance and no age restrictions. It operates from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with designated family sessions from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM in four time slots. Please note the pool is closed on the first Tuesday of every month, as well as on Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok Day.

For guests seeking a full summer experience, “The Pool Village Package” will be available for booking from June 26 through the hotel’s website or phone.

The package includes:

  • One-night stay in a hotel or residence room

  • Two outdoor pool admission tickets

  • One poolside dish (choice of Margherita Pizza, Combination Cheese Pizza, or Honey Fried Chicken)

The package starts from KRW 267,000, and preferred pool sessions can be booked in advance via the reservation team or front desk.
