Started with 100% domestic capital, now evolving into a global hotel

First established as Amiga Hotel on September 18, 1989, Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam has been protecting the pride of Korean hotels based on 100% domestic capital and substantial management. In particular, Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam is the first Korean hotel to win a prize at the TIME Readers’ Travel Choice Awards (2006). In addition, numerous national leaders from different countries visited Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam to attend the 2010 G20 Seoul Summit and the 2011 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, and we were recognized as one of the best hotels providing high-end facilities and services. Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam is directly operating Imperial Palace Boutique Hotel Itaewon situated in Itaewon—the center of culture—and IP City Hotel Osaka in Japan. Now, we are preparing another overseas hotel chain brand in order to evolve into a global hotel chain as well as the center of business and culture.
